2013 Mazda Deep Orange 3 - Design Study
The students from Clemson University and the Art Center College of
Design have launched today the Mazda Deep Orange 3 Concept at the Center
for Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City,
Michigan.
The new study design is based on a
hatchback and has a sleek body design created by Frederick Naaman. The
Mazda Deep Orange 3 Concept has a 3+3 seat configuration and an
innovative hybrid power train. It can automatically choose where to send
the power (front, rear or all-wheel) depending on the situation.
"These students have provided fresh and inventive ideas from
sketch pad to sheet metal, and the final product truly speaks to that
open dialogue and collaboration between the Art Center College of Design
and Clemson University", said Derek Jernkins, Mazda North America design director.
