Buell 1125CR

The Buell 1125CR is a 'Cafe Racer' (hence the CR in the name) styled naked sports bike.

The Buell 1125CR features a Buell Intuitive Response Chassis (IRC) which is is the stiffest chassis Buell have created to date. This lightweight aluminium structure offers minimal flexing and bending, while also providing better rider feedback.

To match the stiffness of the main chassis, the 1125CR uses fully adjustable 47 mm Showa inverted forks up front. The rear suspension is handled by a fully adjustable, piggyback-style Showa monoshock mounted to a pivot point placed forward on the engine case. This enhances rigidity while reducing squat during hard acceleration.

For braking the Buell 1125 CR utilizes a four-pad, eight-piston caliper inspired by the XBRR race motorcycle up front. A single 375mm rotor is mounted directly to the rim. The rim-mounted design eliminates the need for load-bearing spokes or even a second disc, resulting in a front end assembly that is significantly lighter than alternative designs. The rear brake comprises of a two-piston caliper and a 240mm stainless steel rotor.

Powering the Buell 1125 CR is a 1125 cc, 72-degree, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine with ram-air. This unit is the most powerful Buell street engine to date. It develops 146 horsepower @ 9,800 rpm, and 82 ft/lbs (111 Nm) of torque at 8,000 rpm.

The transmission is handled by a close-ratio six-speed gearbox, coupled to the rear wheel via belt-drive.
