2014 DMC DeLorean
The original DeLorean DMC-12 is one of the most iconic vehicles ever made. Not necessarily because it was a great car, more because it was like nothing else, and even non-car people could identify it as the “Back to the Future car”. It comes as little surprise then that it’s a fairly popular vehicle for independent designers to reinvent. The latest to have a go is Polish designer Adam Graszk.
Curiously Graszk has decided to turn his back on two of the original DeLorean’s most recognisable features, namely the gull-wing doors and the bare stainless steel bodywork. And while this might have DeLorean fan boys reaching for their lanterns and pitchforks, they should take comfort in the fact that both issues would be fairly easily resolved.
What might be harder to fix is the fairly strong Lamborghini influence which has crept into the rear of the car, especially the engine cover. But again, with a little bit of effort it could be sorted out and given more of a DeLorean vibe.
