2017 Cadillac XT5

The 2nd generation Cadillac SRX crossover has been the company's bestselling car for some time now, with 2015 being a record year of 68,850 sold in the United States alone. Cadillac has chosen to replace the model on a high note, with the new XT5 to fill the gap.
On a specs and feature basis, the XT5 is impressive. It weighs 278 lbs less than the outgoing SRX while having virtually identical dimensions. The longer wheelbase allows for 3.2 inches of increased rear legroom. At the same time, it is stiffer and stronger than the SRX thanks to improved materials and design. A diagonal A-frame front chassis brace on the underbody adds to the cars stiffness and handling.
Power comes from the 3.6 liter V6 that debuted earlier this year on the ATS, CTS, and CT6. The engine puts out 310 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, and and features Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation that switches the car to 4-cylinder mode when full power is not needed. Another feature for improved fuel efficiency is Stop/Start technology that turns off the engine when the car is not moving in stop and go traffic.
A new 8 speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift is standard. A twin-clutch AWD system is optional.
