2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R

The AMG GT R follows the standard GT and the GT S as the third member of the GT lineup, and the performance flagship for the entire AMG range.
The engine in the GT R is a 4 liter twin turbocharged V8, like its two less powerful siblings. The standard GT produces 462 hp with 443 lb-ft of torque, and the GT S produces 510 hp with 479 lb-ft of torque. The GT R offers a full 585 hp with 516 lb-ft of torque spread across a wide rpm range of 1900-5500 rpm
A number of styling changes were made. The front carbon wings increase the front width by 46 mm, and the new aluminum side walls increase the rear width by 57 mm. That extra space allows for a wider track and room for 19" wheels (10Jx19) up front and 20" wheels (12Jx20). Other styling features include new gloss black side sills matching the gloss black caps on the side view mirrors and the gloss black blade on the rear wing.
The car shown here is painted in the exclusive color "AMG Green Hell Magno", a nod to the nickname for the challenging North Loop of the Nurburgring, a track where the GT R saw extensive testing.
